Improve the yield from
your cytology slides by 50%

Did you know that almost one half of cytology slides submitted to labs have no cells, useful to make a diagnosis? It doesn’t have to be that way.

Until now you had to accomplish an FNA or scraping, then place the sample onto a slide and send it into the lab. Between 24 hours and three days later, if it was at the beginning of a week, you might get an answer. Unfortunately as often as not you got an answer that there were no useful cells on the slide. That makes a pretty difficult conversation with Mrs. O’Malley about her beloved Muffy.

Between the office visit, anesthesia, a surgical prep and possibly an ultrasound, she may have already spent $500.00 or more with you only to hear that she got nothing for her money. Fortunately you may never need to have that conversation again. Now imagine that you can have a pathologist review you’re slides before you even recover the patient. You’re not imagining, it is now a reality. You can get a definitive answer before Mrs. O’Malley even comes back to pick up Muffy.

A new product, MicroView by Revo Squared, is a fully automated microscope that, prepares the slide, stains it, then finds the cells on a the slide, creates high resolution, digital images of those cells and allows you to send them over the internet to any pathologist you choose.

As an added bonus the price of your cytology review may go down as much as 35%. As they say “Good medicine is good business. The reason for the price reduction is that much of the work that is usually done by lab tech’s is now done on the MicroView in your facility. There is no pickup fee, no FedEx, no lost slides, no handling at the lab. It just makes good sense. By the way, there is also no delay.

MicroView does for cytology and hematology what digital x-ray did for radiography but it’s much more affordable. For the price of a single cytology a month you can have MicroView in your practice.

Please read the following from the clinical director of AVID Labs:

As clinical director of a busy reference laboratory, one of my responsibilities is to evaluate new assays and new technology. In my roll I receive information about a whole host of products. It has been a long time since I have seen a product like the Revo Microview system.

The main goals in introducing new equipment or procedures into the reference lab is to first, add diagnostic value for our practitioners, second to improve quality of the work product, thirdly to gain efficiency and improve turn-around times, fourthly to simplify the diagnostic process for the clinics, and finally to keep the cost of diagnostics as low as possible. Since we have introduced the Microview into our pathology department here at AViD laboratories, we have achieved all the criteria to adopt the system as our primary pathology interface. Our pathologist love the quality of the images and ease of use.

We have reduced the cost of sample retrieval significantly, the need for re-submission has dropped by more than 80%, the number of “non-diagnostic” reports has significantly decreased and more over we have taken the turn-around time for Cytology from 24-48 hours down to minutes. This has dramatically improved the customer experience and at the same time reduced cost.

This clinical directors opinion is that the Revo MicroView is a must have in any clinical setting particularly where cytological examination is an everyday part of your process, whether it be at the point of care or within the clinical laboratory.

Sincerely,
